Wildflowers!
Sohel's primary inspiration came from photographing wild flowers, he
shoots pictures and builds a reference library of images of a particular
flower, after detailed study sketches he creates compositions. Sohel
makes relief paintings from these compositions.
Sohel believes our
diverse plant communities are extremely important for sustaining
healthy ecosystems. When considering the complex interactions,
such as the food web, that are found in ecosystems, you realize that
every species counts! Plant habitats must be protected before
species become critically endangered. Wildflowers are the jewels
of our planet. Like any treasure, they must be protected for all
to enjoy.
